Floating FAQ

Just yourself! We have all the supplies you’ll need…shampoo and soap for washing before and after your float, comfortable towels, earplugs to keep water out of your ears. And even a cup of complimentary tea. Bathing suits aren’t necessary. The rooms are private and a suit detracts from the effects of reducing sensory stimulation. If you wear contacts, bring a case or just wear glasses.
Being in the tank is more like floating in outer space than being shut in a box. You’re always in control of your environment, and even people with extreme claustrophobia have reported having no problems with their time in the tank.
NO! Some people fall asleep, but the water is so buoyant that you stay afloat. The worst that can happen is getting woken up by a bit of salt water in your eyes.
You should not float if you are presently ill, kidney problems, epilepsy or have an active skin condition. People with severe medical conditions should consult their physician before floating.
There is 1100 pounds of medical grade Epsom salt dissolved in each of our float rooms. The solution is so high in saline that no living microorganism can survive in there. After each session, the entire volume of the solution is pumped out and filtered through a three part filtration and sterilization system utilizing Ultra Violet light and H2O2. UV is the safest most effective system available. In addition all clients are required to be 100% clean prior to entering the tank.
Only one person per tank. We have four float tanks, so up to four people can come float in our shop. We do have two more rooms we will add shortly.
Don’t drink caffeine or energy drink for several hours before floating. Eat a light meal about an hour or so to keep your stomach quiet. Don’t shave or wax immediately prior to floating as the salt may irritate fresh skin.
No. Unlike fresh water which washes away natural minerals, the water in floatation tanks contains high salt levels so it doesn’t rob your skin of salt (which is what causes wrinkling). Rather, it leaves your skin feeling soft and silky..
Yes, you float within your own individual room (so there is no requirement to wear a swimsuit). Each float room has it’s own shower and dressing space for your exclusive use for the duration of your session..
Sessions are either 60 minutes or 90 minutes. Longer sessions can be booked but not online.
